Project Overview

In 2020, National Powerline entered a partnership with the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) to support their CARES Act pole replacement program.

The scope of this program is to replace critically-aged power delivery infrastructure and construct other projects intended to bring electrical power to homeowners on the Navajo reservation that have never had power before.

Increasing Opportunities

In an effort to continually advance our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as fundamental values in all our business practices, National Powerline coordinated outreach and training activities to include local residents, bringing its skilled labor force to 50% from Navajo decent.

Through partnership with the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Chapter 769 and NTUA, National Powerline crews were able to give back to the communities they reside in and provide a more reliable and sustainable power source for the residents on the Navajo reservation.
